Safeguarding
How we keep children safe while they learn, and how to tell us about a concern.
A parent decides
Consent first, then approvals for songs, AI lessons and friends.
No contact
No chat, no free text and no photos between children.
Healthy habits
Session caps end practice with a celebration, never a hard cut.
Report a concern
Use the contact form or email us. We act on every report.
1. Safe by design
- Children never have their own login: they use profiles in a parent's account, behind a parent PIN.
- Children can't send messages, write free text to other people or share photos. Avatars come from our own set.
- Friends see progress only (streaks, achievements, goals), and every friend request needs a parent's approval. A parent can hide details or remove friends at any time.
- Imported songs and AI-generated lessons wait for a parent's approval before a child sees them. AI course content is reviewed by our team before it's published.
- There is no advertising, and children's data is never used for marketing.
- Parents can set session caps and a schedule, and see a weekly report.
2. Our team
Staff who can see account data or review content have only the access their role needs, and their actions are logged. Everyone on the team knows how to raise a concern about a child and who acts on it.
3. Reporting a concern
If you're worried about a child's safety, or about something you've seen in the service, tell us through the contact page (Contact) with the topic "Safeguarding concern", or email [email protected]. We read safeguarding reports first, and act on every one.
If a child is in immediate danger, call the emergency services (999 in the UK, 911 in the US and Canada, 000 in Australia, 112 in Ireland and the EU). In the UK you can also contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000, and children can talk to Childline on 0800 1111.
4. What we do
We may hide content, remove friend connections, suspend an account and keep the records needed to investigate. Where the law requires it, or a child is at risk, we report to the police or the relevant authority.
